“Caucasus Times – NewsLine” began its work in April 2003. In July 2004 “Caucasus Times – Newsline” was supported by OSI Budapest (from 01.08.2004 to 31.03.2005). OSI supported our project a second time in July 2005 (from 01.07.2005 to 01.07.2005) and a third time in January 2007 (from 01.02.2007 to 01.07.2007).
“Caucasus Times – NewsLine” partly pays for itself. A portion of its news is distributed through fee-based subscriptions. Our subscribers include the BBC, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Deutsche Welle, NTV, various embassies and diplomatic representatives, as well as a number of international organizations.
“Caucasus Times – NewsLine” is a tried and popular project. It is an objective and reliable resource on the Northern Caucasus for thousands of journalists, human rights activists, diplomats and ordinary consumers.
